Eimeo Road State School students are invited to
trial for all sports across Mackay. As part of the Cumberland region, students
are invited to trial at school to see if they can qualify for the Cumberland
team where they compete with other schools across Mackay. If they are
successful they are then able to join the Mackay District team. Students at
Eimeo Road have been successful in Soccer, Touch Football, Tennis, Basketball,
Hockey, Netball, Swimming and Rugby League. There are other sports that are
available for students to trial in AFL, Rugby Union and many more. All sports
are linked to the sporting calendar which is developed each year by the Mackay
District Sports and teachers at Eimeo Road State School encourage and remind
students about participation.
