Yr 6 Canberra Camp

Students and staff enjoy a day on the snowfields.

On Sunday 13th August a large group of 88 students and staff embarked on the annual Year 6 Canberra Camp, marking what will be Eimeo's last trip to Canberra. The students had a great 5 days experiencing what Canberra had to offer with visits to Parliament House, The Australian War Memorial, The AIS and of course the snowfields. Staff received glowing reports regarding the exemplary behaviour of our students who were fantastic ambassadors for Eimeo Road SS.

Parents met a very tired and unwell group upon their return as sickness had unfortunately swept through the campers. Our parents certainly passed on their appreciation however to our staff who gave up their personal time with family while taking the students away for the week long camp. Thanks to Mrs Cooper, Mrs Austin, Mr Helfersdorfer, Mr Giddings, Mrs Norman, Mrs Allen, Mrs Orchard and Mr O'Keefe for generously giving their time, ensuring that our students enjoyed such a wonderful learning experience.
